About this Recipe

By: Caitlin Greene

This sauce is so bomb! Just a few ingredients and super easy to make. I have used this with shrimp and tofu and both were delicious. This meal could easily be paleo if you substitute the rice with veggie rice! This time I chose to go with jasmine rice and served it with some steamed broccolini, jasmine rice, and avocado.

What do you need to make this Homemade Orange Chicken?
-Fresh or frozen chicken (if frozen, thaw before cooking)
-salt and pepper
-orange juice
-coconut aminos or tamari soy sauce
-organic ketchup
-garlic cloves
-tapioca starch
-honey

How do I make this Homemade Orange Chicken?
To make the chicken, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and season the chicken with salt and pepper. Roast the chicken for 25 minutes or more depending on the thickness of the chicken.

Remove the chicken from the oven when ready and let it cool for 10 minutes. Slice the chicken and smother in the sauce.

To make the sauce, whisk all the ingredients for the sauce together until well-combined.
Heat a saucepan and add the ingredients for the sauce in. Bring the sauce to a boil. Once it starts boiling, turn the heat low and whisk for another 2 minutes before removing from heat. Serve the chicken with some steamed broccolini, steamed jasmine rice and avocado or anything else you want. Enjoy!
