Chipotle Lime Sweet Potato Fries with Turmeric Honey Pepper Ketchup

An easy sweet potato fries recipe that will leave you wanting more! These are simply the best crispy air-fried fries!

I love being able to use my air fryer to make these crispy fries. You do not need much time to make these fries and they are so flavorful and crispy! Have them as is or serve them with another dish! I also made a Turmeric Honey Pepper Ketchup to go with them.

To make these Chipotle Lime Sweet Potato Fries and Turmeric Honey Pepper Ketchup you will need:
-Japanese sweet potato
-chipotle chili powder
-lime zest
-tomato paste
-balsamic vinegar
-honey (or maple syrup if vegan)
-coconut aminos
-turmeric powder
-onion powder
-garlic powder
-mustard powder
-cayenne
-black pepper
-ground allspice

How do you make these Chipotle Lime Sweet Potato Fries and Turmeric Honey Pepper Ketchup?
First, cut the sweet potatoes into strips. Soak the potatoes in ice water for an hour to get them crispy. Season the potatoes with the salt, chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime zest.

Then, coat the potatoes with some oil. Air fry them on 390 for 10-13 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the ketchup. Whisk all the ingredients for the ketchup together- tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, water, honey (or maple syrup), coconut aminos, salt, turmeric, onion powder, garlic powder,mustard powder, cayenne, black pepper, and pinch of ground allspice. Store in the fridge (best after you let it sit for a night) until ready to be eaten. Serve the fries with the ketchup.

Ingredients

  • -Amount oil
  • -6 oz tomato paste
  • -2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • -¼ cup water
  • -1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup if vegan)
  • -1 tsp coconut aminos
  • -½ tsp salt
  • -¼ tsp turmeric
  • -½ tsp onion powder
  • -½ tsp garlic powder
  • -¼ tsp mustard powder
  • -¼ tsp cayenne
  • -⅛ tsp black pepper
  • -pinch of ground allspice

Instructions

  1. Cut the sweet potatoes into strips.

  3. Season the potatoes with the salt, chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime zest.
